@Neslie_eth @AbstractChain @spellborne You can skip the levels using gold nuggets? The pass ends up giving most of the gold nuggets back if you're really interested in completing all levels. This is supposed to be a free trial to get old and new players to try the game out.

🚨 New perks on @AbstractChain just dropped… Free @spellborne Battlepass for Gold → Obsidian users w2 sounds good on paper, right? But honestly… this doesn’t make sense at all. Why give a “free pass” when there’s only 3 days left before it ends? 🤦‍♂️ Battlepass goes up to lvl 80 how is anyone supposed to maximize that in 3 days? They won’t even get real value out of it. If the target is to onboard new users, this completely misses the point. New players will just feel like they’re already late. And let’s be real this setup mainly benefits existing/old players who are already progressed, not the new ones you’re trying to attract. Give these perks at the start of a fresh season, not when it’s about to expire. Feels like a wasted opportunity tbh.

Which old method exactly? A hint for current loop is; - Open chests (Especially wooden) & Make sure to speed up chests (Gold and above) - Sell items that you do not need on Bazaar - Get some items from the chests for your task board - Buy the rest from other players This way you earn abstract xp via 3 different things: - Onchain activity - Shards from speeding up Chests - Task board If you are able to optimise it well, you might end up with extra BORNE by the end of the day as well. Another event is coming soon that will focus on referrals and trading in bazaar; so this flow explained above will only get more powerful. Our focus as been to bring more onchain activity; This way you end up getting XP from Shards and XP from the on-chain activity you do by trading.

I know you've made some adjustments, and I'm still exploring them. (I haven't used the chest acceleration feature yet and don't quite understand how to allocate BORNE.) To be honest, my current feeling is that maintaining a ranking is increasingly difficult due to the pressure on resources and gold. Perhaps you made these changes to boost game trading activity, so I don't know what to say; you have your reasons. Personally, I still prefer the old method, which was simply obtaining shards through quest rankings. Before, I could achieve a satisfactory shard ranking through in-depth gameplay, but I'm not sure about that now.

The tasks on taskboard that give Abstract Shards now require less items, thus reducing your overall spend. Also, BORNE tokens spent on speeding up PVP chests will be redistributed among players on a weekly basis, it has a separate leaderboard, thus making chests effectively free!

I'd like to clear the air here. It's true, I'm no longer with Ava Labs and won't be working on Avalanche in the near future. But this isn't a disaster for me, and it's not a disaster for Avalanche. I've been in the Avalanche community for almost 5 years now, working at Ava Labs for 3. It's insane how much changes over time in this young industry, and this is a natural departure time for me. It might feel bad, but I'm still going to be around if everything works out. When I started, gaming was basically a future dream. We had Crabada, but the team always wanted games we would play as a teenager, games that could change the perception of crypto. I joined Ava Labs at a time where we had some of those games lined up but still a ways off, so we built a great gaming community and brand in preparation and those games just swept web3 gaming awards in 2025. But I think the industry is shifting again - it's B2B, it's stablecoins, it's institutional finance, and ofc trading. Naturally my career path has to change with it. This happens a lot in startup industries, things change, and you have to keep finding ways to contribute. We also have a baby coming in a few weeks, so the pressure of figuring out what I will continue to do is high. Ava Labs is allowing me time to do that by covering my paternity leave. Everyone has offered to help me in any way they can. I'm really proud of what we did as a team and community; you guys are amazing. It's honestly the saddest part for me and I hope to find a next job that allows me to still be a big part of the Avalanche community. And finally, I know price sucks. I believe everyone at Ava Labs knows how important that is.
