InfoFi is officially dead💀 X has pulled the plug on API access for apps that incentivize spam. Here is why the death of AI noise is the birth of Real Contribution👇 The signs were everywhere. It wasn’t just @NikitaBier. For months, the user experience on CT has been suffocating. From @beeple mocking the spam to @nic_carter declaring CT is "dead" due to noise, the ecosystem was suffering from severe "Attention Pollution". For a long time, the meta was "Quantity > Quality". Users spammed tickers to farm points. Projects paid for metrics that looked good on paper but meant nothing for actual retention. We created an economy of noise, where real signals got drowned out by incentivized "yapping." But the noise bubble just popped. So, what happens now? The budget ($100M+ was distributed by InfoFi alone) has to go somewhere. The market is correcting from Artificial Engagement -> Authentic Contribution. Projects no longer want bot-like replies.
