BREAKING Boltz @Boltzhq , a non-custodial Bitcoin swap service, has halted indefinitely after attackers using AI iterate faster than the team can patch vulnerabilities. Aqua and Bull Bitcoin are among wallets affected. The suspension lands in the middle of the worst week for bitcoin security in years as an exploit of Coldcard hardware wallets has drained roughly $114 million in BTC since July 30. The new service is called "Truth API" which gives firms "a direct, licensed, real-time feed of the platform’s most market-moving Truths," the company's CEO said in a press release. While I'm not an equities specialist, I do think the spell has been broken, and am viewing these violent rebounds as deadcats, with the expectation that crypto will catch shrapnel early, but also bottom earlier than equities do.

Eleven years ago, @ethereum redefined the possibilities for financial infrastructure. While I wasn't involved at time zero, I did get thrown into the ecosystem only a few years later while working for one of its co-founders. The most frustrating part of the earlier days was the delta between what was possible and what was realistically adoptable. Now in 2026, the Overton Window, regulatory climate, and market forces have shifted enough that the days of imagining what is possible is over. I firmly believe that we have reached the tipping point where all the hard work being done at the infrastructure layer is finally paying off in the form of institutional adoption. While some may lament the end of a revolution (and the suits that come with it), it is important to remember what was being fought for, what our near-term reality will be, and how the future got built via the greatest group project of our lifetimes.
