The interview rounds haven’t changed much, but companies now expect you to know the basics really well (DSA, LLD, HLD, etc.). It’s difficult to find a scalable alternative to filter candidates. Small organizations can manage differently, but at scale, we still don’t have a better way. The sooner you realize these rounds aren’t meant to find the best candidate, but to filter out those who can’t perform when they know exactly what needs to be done, the better. You may find it a waste of time, but your day-to-day job will have similar tasks that feel pointless yet must be done.
