This is huge a change here Every time you submit content on Rally, there's a $1.20 gas fee in BASE ETH. Didn't matter what the campaign paid out, USDC, tokens, RLP, you still needed ETH to get in. I’m guessing this restraining order must have been granted, which would have forced Circle’s hand. It also allowed for service of summons and complaint by Discord message. Judges willing to freeze innocent bystanders in a civil suit are a pretty big risk that no one took seriously, and is hard to mitigate. I do seem to recall that @lex_node and I have muttered to people for years about divorce and bankruptcy cases being an underappreciated attack vector in DeFi. This is not those, but again, second time we’ve seen a civil case disrupt something in DeFi in the last month or two.
