The failure of DAT was foreseeable, as I mentioned back in May. Crypto companies must approach the traditional capital markets with both respect and caution. I never meant that crypto companies shouldn’t pursue an IPO or explore a DAT strategy, the point is that there’s only one viable path if they want to succeed in the traditional financial world: build real use cases and strong fundamentals. Without that, capital might play along with you in the short term, but in the long run, it will abandon you. You’ll be played by capital, and you’ll end up the loser. This is exactly why we stay focused on building. Only solid fundamentals and real data can earn true respect from the market.

Look, not all lending protocols are built the same. Some rake in revenue...others don’t, even if they have bigger TVL. That’s because on chain financing has changed; from vertical integration to the cost, speed and distribution advantages all matters. @avalonfinance_ isn’t just a asset heavy marketplace; they own the capital and the experience to back it up. Since June, Avalon has already pulled in $5.48M in fees, averaging $1.88M per month. On that base, the fee run rate sits around $22–23M annually. TVL is $823.57M. Borrowed sits at $44.75M. The design is clean too. USDa = fixed 8% borrow, sUSDa = ~5% lend, and it’s omnichain via LayerZero with 1:1 conversion into USDT. Oh and the FBTC/USDa market runs a 60% LTV and 85% liquidation threshold. BTC markets are live as well: WBTC, LBTC, SolvBTC, BTCB, all supported with variable rates. Plus, with multiple audits, 24/7 onchain guard with fuzzland, and partnerships with folks like DOMO, security and trust are baked in. My bottom line: in BTCFi, cash flow is king. If Avalon keeps this cadence, I think it’s on track to become a core primitive for Bitcoin’s onchain capital markets.
