when i think about good chain i think antifragile and innovation if things go to shit, ppl don't just leave, and if things are to go well, you need innovation to happen on your chain

but yeah for now ig we're going to get more and more l1s. the nextgen centralized hyperperformant l1s are good (unto, fogo, megaeth, monad, etc. etc.) and what's good is that some are giving opportunities to get in at a good fdv too, whether echo or something else

we'd probably have a last mover L1 at some point. and there's value in being on a chain with the most valuable state otoh the winning architecture can be endlessly forked as well if you don't value the state as much and want more control

in 2021 cypherpunk died in 2024 decentralization died speed, valuable state and composability is underrated (arguably has been underrated, but not anymore)

starting to think more and more that the term web3 could've been hugely misleading on where crypto was and would go instead, it's possible that infra is largely the application, and what crypto enables is what stock market did for the world, but an order of magnitude better

one thing i was thinking, imagine someone creates the stock market in 1Xth century and u live that at that time, and then everyone starts asking: "but what's the application for the stock market?" is that rly the right question? idk just thoughts

web3 makes ppl compare with web2, and go back to that way of thinking most ppl that grew up with internet and trad tech etc. are then conditioned to think that way as well but could be the case that u just have to think differently abt all this, and what the "application" rly is
