And Draft 01 is done. I didn't quite hit 50k, my final total was 43,407 words. I imagine Draft 02 will add a few more. Reading the whole thing is going to be an interesting experience. I hope it's good.

I took a break from writing my novel, but I've picked it up again. I'm determined to finish this month. I just hit 40,000 words. Still going.

I have an idea for a novel that I've been kicking about for years. To prevent further procrastination, I'm taking part in #Nanowrimo2023 By the end of November I will have my 50,000 word first draft.

Having a corporate job, having personal creative goals and surviving as human being all the same time is a little tricky.

The wine farm was Maastricht on Durbanville. They're famous for their Rose, but we really enjoyed their Pinotage today.

Cocktail: it's weird seeing Tom Cruise act relaxed. He's so intense. It's always weird watching 30 year old movies and reviewing your own values compared to the values the characters expressed. The past is always a great mirror to great present.

Decided to hibernate this weekend. Our watch list so far: The French Dispatch Saved Nimona Nope Nine to Five Cocktail Then we ended up at a wine farm. Tbc.
