My hot take: I don't think it should be considered "normal" to grieve the figment of your child. While it's expected this behavior ought be recognized as unhealthy for the child as it signifies to the child a failure or inadequacy on their part in a moment of vulnerability.

@BastetsPassion it's not required outside the US usually. Most other surgeons have different ways of dealing with hair growth such as cauterizing the tissue during surgery

not sure why bottom surgery gatekeeping has become discourse but yes the current requirements are too much. I shouldn’t need multiple mental health evaluations as an adult to get this surgery. I can make my own decisions
