i constantly think about this dream i had where i was at a teammates house and i was constantly stressed that i was overstaying my welcome

thought of a very funny roller derby meme at 2am and now that i’ve come to make it i can’t remember it

thinking about the time my coach asked me what hardness my wheels were, to which i replied “92” to which she seemed visibly appalled and after asking my weight she told me i should be using 97s

i keep having derby dreams and when i wake up there are just a few moments where i can trick myself that we’re still playing lol

today i learned the hard way that the blister threshold on my feet is 9 miles

first time skating in ~3 weeks after mono, you love to see it

me and gave me one of the bear hug lift ones and T1-5 all cracked, scaring her because she could feel them pop as she did it. missin my teamies and my biweekly back adjustments :^( 2/2

keep seeing those tiktoks where ppl put pasta in their mouth and then have someone crack their back then they bite down and scare them and it just makes me think of the time i asked one of my teammates to crack my back after practice and she did the one where she stood behind 1/2

sometimes ur teammate grabs u by the arm when ur on the ground but instead of getting u off the ground, they drag you ten feet because u can’t get ur feet under u and that’s just how it goes. i admire her dedication to getting me out of the pack and appreciate the yeet.

the biggest downside to derby is that since i hydrate so aggressively, i will, without a doubt, need to piss at 2am on days we practice

i am no longer baby i want power

i love the clear dichotomy within my teammates when i’m at a bar with them: my wine aunt teammates who slyly tell me they’ll buy me a drink if i want VS my strict mother hen teammates who yell that if i even THINK about alcohol they will perish on the spot and take me with them
