“You were told Mr. Floyd died because his heart was too big. After seeing the evidence, you know Mr. Floyd died because Derek Chauvin’s heart was too small.” - Prosecutor

After quickly dispersing protesters in #BrooklynCenterMN tonight, police surrounded members of the media and made us lie flat on our stomachs. They then photographed our faces, credentials and identification before allowing us to leave the perimeter.
@patiencezalanga SAY HIS MAME! Funny how you didn’t mention Black Men once again. You’re Lost! We’ll keep being wherever we want to be. We won’t be oppressed by The State and then told what to do by you. Who TF are you? Black Men are being murdered. Maybe we’re not SAFE around you! 🏴
@patiencezalanga “I do not understand how cis men step in the scene and think they can just jump in dictate movements. Stop allowing platforms for these trash men.”
@patiencezalanga You’re trash... Don’t call an organization of Black Men trash. The blatant disregard for Black Men is reminiscent of the police. SAY HIS NAME! 🏴
@patiencezalanga@Highway_30 BLACK MEN will always be allowed to speak about the MURDER of BLACK MEN! For you to identify a Black Man as anything other than a Black Man, during these times, is a sign of misandry. Your willingness to even say “cis” is disgusting. Black Men! SAY HIS NAME! 🏴 #DaunteWright

Star Tribune journalists @shijundu and @ByLizSawyer being “processed” by Minnesota Sate Patrol after documenting mass arrest tonight in Brooklyn Center.
“This fence represents tyranny,” said Royce White, founder of the 10k foundation. “Daunte Wright! We’re gonna keep saying his name until they raise the charges to 3rd degree murder,” he says of ex-officer Kim Potter.
Logic: I shot you in the head... but you had stage 4 lung cancer. I bludgeoned you with a nightstick... but you had brain hemorrhaging because of high blood pressure. So I smother you instead to avoid leaving blatant evidence that my actions lead to your death. That’s sinister!
So now anybody’s pre-existing heart condition or disease (most people) in their post-mortem examination, can be used to justify police murder? This is ludicrous and an insult to justice. The implications of this defense and the potential precedence set is dangerous and reckless.
Now an attorney is going to give us a lecture on physics and biology? To me he’s digging THE STATE and Chauvin a bigger hole. If all of these circumstances are so UNPREDICTABLE, the police should be much more careful with their use of force. Life is TOO fragile. #GeorgeFloyd
If anything they are damning to The State and police officers like Derek Chauvin who don’t believe citizen’s claims that they can’t breathe or anything else. If every person is different and there’s no way to know an person’s medical status, you can’t treat every person the same.
There are inexhaustible amounts of claims that can be made about the blind spots in medical science. None of which make a strong case for the current use of force models in policing. Or the The State’s assumption of guilt in many policing situations. Especially for Black people.
If guilt going to based on the multiple margin of errors that exist in the field of medicine — especially as it pertains to mental health, hyperventilation and the relationship with overall health, I have a serious problem with where this whole thing is going. #GeorgeFloyd
