there's something I really like about how once the flame reaver's identity was revealed, the tone of his new description changed as to not forget khaslana's humanity, his suffering along his journey, and the weight of his burden

the flame reaver's face not being identical to khaslana's is heartbreaking but it kind of means more too.. like at a glance, it's easy to tell that it's him, but something is Missing there. like he's clearly lost part of himself.

in comparison, [nameless swordmaster -> nameless swordsman] might seem insignificant, but paired with the intention behind the resemblance of the "mask", it reinforces the importance of his identity.
