@mxmx9842 they’re both absolute shit. whether it’s the anime or the VN, ruined by that dodgy “friendship is magic” ending and the villains suddenly turning into vegetables (that’s it in a nutshell). the first arcs were bloody brilliant, though. Ryukishi is such a retard.

How is the original Higurashi anime viewed in the fandom? Of course the vn is better because the characters and the story are more fleshed out but I still think it makes for a great watch for everyone who has no interest in reading vns.
