12 IKC was held in the city of Yellowknife - the Diamond Capital of North America. This location was very appropriate to celebrate ‘30 Years of Diamonds in Canada’ and to acknowledge the key role of bush flying in the exploration for diamonds. Photos: billbradenphoto, G. Vivian

Before we knew it, the last day of 12 IKC was upon us, bringing Farewell Dinner. The evening began with a welcome drink and hors d’oeuvres. Keeping with tradition, the Mantle Nodules song was performed an, live music from Priscilla’s Revenge kept the dance floor full. #12IKC

At 12 IKC over 100 posters were on display for the entire week of the conference with three dedicated Poster Sessions. With authors at their posters as well as snacks and a bar there was a lot of discussion, networking and laughter. They are available at ikcabstracts.com/index.php/ikc.
