Hi. I'm Nico Abe, and we apparently live in an art gallery inside a casino. This is why you should bet on me. I grew up in a large family of doctors and lawyers. In a family with strict expectations regarding career choices and a strong emphasis on the monetary value of one's profession, it hindered my ability to pursue art. While I enjoy the comfort of having an upper middle class existence along with the privilege of having studied both art and science at university because of this, the creative impulse that runs through these veins have been brewing ever since I took my first breath. I entered the crypto art space to immortalize these impulses within the vast history of art that has preceded me. I see it as a privilege for me to be able to share my art in a microcosmic community that has its own personal art history. I say that because I see our community as a new art movement that has not been fully understood yet even by ourselves. I see this as an opportunity to elevate voices that have been hushed by the current industry, and while decentralization has its own faults as of now, the ideals that we have been clamoring to be adopted by the outside world have yet to take root. I came here to pursue a dream to share my work, expecting nothing; but I surprisingly found a community that shares the same reverence for art as I do. And while I am fully aware and humbled that I can say and feel a lot of this only because of being born with a silver spoon, I would like to say out loud that money is not the reason why I came here. All I want is nothing else than to be part of the voices that have the privilege of being heard. And though I agree that it's odd for me to try to separate making money in this space as the blockchain's existence has often been simplified into a set of green and red bars, I would like to believe that we can look way beyond this someday. You can see it develop speak by wading through a sea that has no rules and discovering these communal reefs of culture, slowly transforming a misunderstood ecosystem into a movement. I have been training and thinking about my work for a long time, longer than I have realized and the work coming from me in this platform is the culmination of all my experiences, knowledge, opinions, and personal truths. You can find the very fabric of my consciousness in every piece and I would be more than happy to welcome you aboard. P.S. I have been here for less than a month and I already have such an esteemed set of collectors. In a trustless space, it is hard to not think of collecting from a nobody as a gamble.
