@araghchi "Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the LORD. Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right." Proverbs 20:10-11

@farhad_fathi_ir “And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.”

@Parodyjeffx “Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.”

@timmosion All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

@timmosion “Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?”

Ethiopian Orthodox Christians practice the strictest fasting in all of Christianity and their Great Lent (Abiy Tsom) is proof!
While others fast 40 days, they observe an epic 55 days straight: no meat, no dairy, no eggs often just one vegan meal after 3 PM.
This is part of nearly 180 mandatory fasting days a year for laypeople. Rooted in the ancient 4th-century faith (older than most of Europe’s Christianity), tens of millions live this level of discipline daily. In a world of instant comfort, their sacrifice shows what true devotion and unbreakable spiritual strength really look like. A living beacon of resilience!

King Louis IX of France (later canonized as Saint Louis) ordered the burning of copies of the Talmud in the 13th century. 📜🔥
What happened:
•In 1240, a public debate known as the Disputation of Paris was held in Paris.
•The accusations against the Talmud were brought by Nicholas Donin, a jewish convert to Christianity who claimed the text contained insults against Christianity.
•Four leading rabbis defended the Talmud before the king and church officials.
The result:
•After the trial, the Talmud was declared guilty of blasphemy by Christian authorities.
•In 1242, Louis IX ordered the confiscated manuscripts burned in Paris.
•About 24 wagonloads of handwritten books (roughly 10,000–12,000 volumes) were destroyed publicly.

@FabulousWeird “For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.”

Glass Gem Corn looks like it was made by a jeweler. It wasn't. It was made by one man, one kernel at a time.
In the 1980s, Oklahoma farmer Carl Barnes began crossing ancient Native American corn varieties: Pawnee miniature popcorn, Osage Red Flour, and Osage Greyhorse. Each season, he saved only the most vividly colored kernels and replanted them. He did this for years.
The result is a flint corn with translucent kernels that retain their color even when dried. Every ear is different. The colors cannot be predicted.
In 2012, a single photo went viral. Seed orders crashed websites.
Barnes passed away in 2016. The Cherokee Nation had called him a valued resource, instrumental in forming their seed bank.
He said: "The seed remembers."

In 1989, a highly classified underwater sound system designed by the United States Navy to track submarines picked up something unexpected. It was the song of a whale. But the frequency was wrong.
Every known whale species communicates at a frequency between 10 and 39 hertz. This one was singing at 52.
Researchers have tracked the same solitary animal migrating across the Pacific Ocean for decades. It follows no known whale migration route and travels alone. Because no other whale on earth communicates at that frequency, marine biologists believe it has spent its entire life calling out into the dark without ever being heard or answered.
It has been named the 52 Hertz Whale. Some call it the loneliest animal on earth.
Nobody has ever seen it.

“The last Sublime record that will ever be made is Self-Titled. There’s no replacing history, period. “Until the Sun Explodes” the album is an epilogue, and “Until the Sun Explodes” the single is the epilogue to the epilogue. It is a tribute to the expansive works of Sublime, it is an acknowledgment for all that my father has done for me my entire life, and most importantly it is a thank you. I love you dad, and I owe you my life.”

@fandompulse Lol, traded away creativity for interconnectivity. Boring lame culture. Another one bites the dust.

George Lucas on the state of film and TV today:
"Nobody knows what to do. The stories they're telling are just old movies. Let's do a sequel. Let's do another version of this movie. And it's not just in movies, but in almost everything, there's no original thinking. It's like I saw something, let's do something like that."
Is he on to something here?
