I’ve played many games of cricket In my life at all levels. I’ve also coached many games at all levels. I can’t recall very often or ever as a player or coach someone from the opposition not coming out to shake hands after the fixture. Team first.

If Wicketkeeping was rated like batting or bowling Alex Carey has scored a 150 in the first innings and taken a 5 fa in the second innings. His wicketkeeping has been pure class and worthy of the man of the match award. 🧤

I’m not saying now but when Khawaja retired can we go a hybrid model. Renshaw opens 1st innings when batting is arguably suited to more traditional play. Head stays at 5. 2nd innings Head opens when new ball batting is at its best, & Renshaw to 5. Renshaw is adaptable.

Well done australia, 15 years ago left right combination was a theory in T20 or “20/20” cricket. The landscape of the game has changed exponentially and hats off to the Australian coaching team for embracing that in any format or conditions. Some wouldn’t be so brave.

Some people r made of the right stuff some people aren’t. McSweeny just showed why he was selected in the first place. Things didn’t go his way, he faced the media, he was open & honest. He walked out for his team & took them to victory. Future captain right there!
