@145lewis @MisterCMaine @edutopia @mindyahrens1 Hi everyone! I am wondering what device or program did you use to embed the reflection questions students responded to after watching "The Danger of A Single Story"?

@MrsCherry_SMS @MisterCMaine @edutopia @mindyahrens1 4 of… so we left the kids to their own devices. They used the systems that were more comfortable for them. In doing so, the students would share their strategies and processes with one another, which only ended up increasing their metacognitive awareness of their chosen tools.

@MrsCherry_SMS @MisterCMaine @edutopia @mindyahrens1 3 of… I’m hesitant to throw out a list of programs because the cognitive work of wrestling with insecurities takes so much bandwidth, the last thing we wanted to do was introduce additional frustration inherent in leaning new tools.

@MrsCherry_SMS @MisterCMaine @edutopia @mindyahrens1 2 of… Platforms/apps you already know and use allow students to focus on content as opposed to working through technical hang ups. The more time spent posting reflection and responding to one another’s the deeper the insights into their story.

@MrsCherry_SMS @MisterCMaine @edutopia @mindyahrens1 1 of… That’s a great question. We kept things pretty basic through shared documents and the camera app. However, this is where there’s a ton of room for growth. What applications do you love and use? The best tools are the ones with which you and your Ss are comfortable.

@MisterCMaine @edutopia @mindyahrens1 @145lewis I plan to implement this project in my Humanities class this year. Would love to pick your brain and get some advice!

@jonlovett 1/2 “le spree de escalier” great idiom meaning dim or slow witted. Literally, “Stairs Mind.” Roughly translates as the person who come up with perfect retort on the way down the stairs after they’ve stormed out of the apartment. #LovettorLeaveIt
