147th Attack Wing

Truly effective leadership is a team sport and involves family. Brig. Gen. Matthew Barker and his wife, Pam, are great examples. I was honored to present them the 2020 @usairforce Gen. and Mrs. Jerome F. O’Malley Award for their past service with our @147thAttackWing, in Houston.

.@147thAttackWing Maintenance Airmen load munitions on MQ-9 Reapers at Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base. The 147th is participating in Southern Strike 2021—a large-scale, joint and international exercise designed to build relationships and strengthen combat readiness. #airpower

Our Aircraft Maintenance Squadron recently participated in Green Flag, a joint Army and Air Force exercise. The AMXS pros practiced loading an MQ-9 coffin onto a C-130J.

The 147th Attack Wing Commander has directed all non-mission essential personnel to telework 16-17 February 2021. Personnel should contact their supervisors for more information. Our 147th family is our most valuable asset, use extreme caution if you are required to travel.

Congratulations Maj Gen Dawn Ferrell, the Deputy Adjutant General - Air upon her retirement. Maj Gen Ferrell has served in the @usairforce & the TXANG for over 37 Years. Thank you for your service to TX & the United States!
