As other markets lose value or hype whether it’s shoes, streetwear, crypto, or whatever’s next, people start chasing the next profitable flip. A lot of the time, that ends up being nostalgia-driven things like pokemon cards, which brings in a wave of scalpers and resellers more focused on maximizing profit than actually being part of the hobby. It sucks.

turning a fun hobby into an investment opportunity is so lame to me. not everything needs to be about flipping for profit. some things should just be about the enjoyment, the nostalgia and the love of it.

@oshinolivor @tippity great question, not sure exactly why it was done, but these were sold back in 06 in 4 variations, had a 2 month wait time, and were made out to the person who purchased them
