@180RulePodcast Basically the course was space and place in the cinematic city and how the city was inherent to the film, so most people picked a film named after a city (basically cheating) Ghostbusters 2 was mine and everyone started laughing until I laid it all out for them!

I once argued in a university film lecture about how the city of New York was an essential part of Ghostbusters 2 because the negative feelings of New Yorkers in the film caused the slime to rise! Then the Statue of Liberty dances down the street! There were no lies told!

@Geniusbastard Totally agree. What Martin Ritt brings to that film directorially is also completely underrated. Those opening shots in the factory just shoot the film out of a cannon for me.

It is weird how NORMA RAE is both iconic and totally underrated. Saw it 10 years ago and was blown away. Keep meaning to show it to my college students. And yeah, Sally was one of my early heartthrobs as a a 70s kid.

@MoviesDayz Great cast in general. Stoltz brings something interesting in like scenes. Koteas and Virginia Madsen work really nicely together. Very underrated film.

@oscarobsessive The adapted predictions feel pretty on point. I feel like that's probably the five. Not to say your original predictions don't look solid as well. There is probably just more room for surprise nominations.
