Football is such a funny sport. St. Mirren won the Scottish League Cup this season and secured European football for next season. But they're almost certainly going to be in the relegation playoff. The next three games will define if this is a disastrous season, or their best since 2013.

@1877Kyle @pieandbov You think? Falkirk just up from Championship last year have been whipping boys right enough. And this year, Hibs and Aberdeen have had no trouble with Dunfermline in the cup. Not to mention Saints already played Thistle, with only a dodgy penalty splitting them.

@groo_on @pieandbov Going into the cup game vs thistle we had only won 2 in 15. Whether it was easier or not a high flying championship side still proved no match for us.

John McGinn is an anomaly in modern football. A player that cost so little when we were in the Championship that is now the captain and most important player in a Champions League chasing side in the Europa League final. For me, he IS a club legend 🟣🔵 #avfc
