Last night, $SVIX resolved its 15-day exhausted ending triangle—a setup that helped anticipate today's move in $SPY. Credit where credit is due: $SVIX delivered. And so did #VIX9D and #VIX1D, both respecting their longer-term floors. The bigger picture is even more interesting. $BTC | Nothing has changed on the chart since the red channel was constructed in June. It’s been more of the same. I don’t believe $BTC sees the light until $DXY completes its cycle in October. Same for Nifty50 and China stocks. The main move begins in October. Until then: lower, and lower. $SLV 1DTE $100P: $52.3M traded at the ask. SLV was trading near $50.33 at the time. The size and structure of this trade are extraordinary. However, I am not suggesting this is necessarily a bearish bet. Without knowing whether this was part of a larger, complex strategy, a roll, or a position being opened/closed, the directional intent is impossible to determine from this trade alone. That said, a $52.3M 1DTE transaction in a $100 put with SLV near $50 is certainly unusual. I’ll be watching $SLV closely tomorrow to see whether this trade ultimately proves meaningful around the physical.
