We are currently providing teachers in Palestine with online training in our Violence Is Preventable programme. We hope the V.I.P. Programme will soon be delivered to young children there.

Since 1994, we have helped thousands of abused young people. We provide face to face support, support groups, violence prevention sessions, advocacy and most importantly a high level of confidentiality. Young survivors need confidential services to build trust and disclose abuse.

🌼 Lovely to visit Dundee charity @18u with @JoeFitzSNP last week.   For 30 years, 18U has provided confidential support to young people who have experienced abuse or violence.   Academic research is helping inform their work and ensure they take the most effective approach.

Her name has become the most shared hashtag of all time. A name that sparked 11 months of ongoing nationwide and global protests. 1 year anniversary will be highly significant. The countdown started. T-minus 1 month.

By the time Sinéad O’Connor sang this (1992) some 70,000 children had been sexually abused by Catholic priests & brothers in Ireland. The state, media, bishops, cardinals & pope had covered it up. She was scorned.

29 years ago today Eighteen And Under began providing confidential support to young people under 18 who had suffered abuse. Since then we have helped thousands of young people escape abuse and move on. 18u.org.uk
