I arrived in Berlin. Everything on time, but pretty tired. I'd probably a slightly earlier all in one during daytime attempt next time. But may do the night train to Toulouse still.

Today is North Of England to Berlin with @Interrail . First train by @northernassist is on time, and we're gliding along to Leeds past Hebden Bridge & other scenic places. Opportunity to get an earlier train to London perhaps Dont seem to have my earphones! Probably in my bag

Good morning, Croatia 🇭🇷 I slept for a solid 8 hours without any interruptions. I’m not sure if it was because I was so tired or the quality of the sleeper, but it was insanely good. Perfect temperature control and soundproofing ✌️

The dining car also features a map of the UIC network in the Middle East, pretty random but if you know why, I’m so interested in knowing!

Another line lost because the French are useless at pretty much anything railway related. The line from Morlaix to Roscoff (in the Finistère, Brittany) has been flood damaged since 2018 and there is literally no plan to repair the line at all. Insane.

A thread on the general anxieities before travel. If we can help people with them, we can encourage more low-carbon travel.

I will leave at 8am & arrive (after some sleep) at 6.15 in Berlin. I'll be tired & thinking "is it all worth it?" Would be good to compare the carbon emissions of flying vs train, easily. Systems exist, but are expensive. Manual use is faffy, but ecopassenger.org is good

Things being late is another anxiety. So I have left a big gap between each change of the train (and bus). 1 bus & 4 trains from north of England, to Berlin. Learning: it would be good to combine lateness databases with planning & booking ones to reduce anxiety.

What are your anxieties before travel? Maybe we can help fix them. Many super travellers follow here, but most people are not super travellers. How do we help them? And my anxieties too

Ok, not been on a night train for awhile. As well as not being a morning person, I also have to get up before I get off the train. Old train so no usb charger at bed, to keep phone (alarm) alive. OBB have solved this. A battery pack should also help. And an ejector seat haha

@anysphere Cursor.sh is amazing. I wonder if you know of people using it within mob development too? i.e. two humans, and the ai. (Or even more humans) Bonus points if they're doing ruby on rails development :)

So serious question: why are the trains in Germany always late? I read some stat saying France’s trains were on time 20% more often. I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE COUNTRY KNOWN FOR EFFICIENCY
