The Infrastructure #EquipmentRental Industry has a story it should proudly tell: our contribution to energy conservation and reducing carbon emissions. Renting equipment isn’t just a cost-effective choice—it is an environmentally responsible one. The shared-use model inherent to equipment rental significantly enhances resource efficiency, reduces lifecycle emissions, and helps conserve energy. Every machine rented instead of purchased represents a tangible reduction in the environmental footprint of construction activities. At a time when governments are urgently seeking solutions to curb pollution while promoting energy efficiency, renting emerges as one of the most practical and impactful options. Yet, despite this clear benefit, the rental industry’s role in driving sustainability often goes unrecognized. It’s time we change that narrative. Rental companies and industry leaders should actively highlight how our model contributes to greener construction practices. Policies should reflect this reality: incentives for contractors and construction companies that opt for renting machinery, cranes, and other infrastructure equipment would not only support sustainable growth but also reinforce the industry’s environmental impact. As an industry, we must speak up and advocate for recognition and support. By promoting the #environmental advantages of equipment rental, we not only position our sector as a #sustainability leader but also encourage wider adoption of practices that benefit society and the planet. The message is clear: #renting is not just smart business—it’s smart for the environment too.

The EXCON 2025 exhibition begins tomorrow. It continues to be one of the most significant events in the construction equipment industry, bringing together key stakeholders to experience new technologies, advanced machinery, and innovative solutions that are shaping the future of the infrastructure sector. We are all aware of how Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s @narendramodi focus on infrastructure is transforming India and paving the way for #ViksitBharat. The #infrastructure equipment rental industry is a vital stakeholder in the infrastructure ecosystem and the construction equipment sector, as more than two-thirds of the equipment used in infrastructure projects across India is supplied by rental companies. The rental industry is not just an equipment provider—it is a strategic partner, a true rental partner in these projects. It has long been established that renting is more profitable for construction companies than purchasing equipment. Moreover, renting contributes to lower carbon emissions. Therefore, it is essential for OEMs and equipment rental companies to complement each other and collaboratively serve the evolving needs of the construction sector. Although rental companies have faced prejudice from CII @FollowCII and ICEMA @ICEMA_Off regarding independent participation (a matter we hope is resolved before the next EXCON), we remain committed stakeholders in the infrastructure ecosystem. I extend my best wishes to all the participants at EXCON 2025 @CII_Excon. May this event open new avenues for growth, collaboration, and industry advancement. Wishing everyone great success!

On the occasion of #ConstitutionDay, I find myself reflecting on the collective journey of our nation and the countless contributions of every Indian who has helped shape the country we envisioned at independence. Our Constitution continues to be a source of strength and guidance, and today we move steadily toward the goal of a #ViksitBharat , inspired by the leadership and vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi @narendramodi . Yet this journey calls upon each of us to keep contributing in our own meaningful ways. In the midst of our progress, it is important to pause and remember our Fundamental Duties as enshrined in Article 51A—especially 51A(g), which reminds us that safeguarding and nurturing the natural hashtag#environment is the responsibility of every citizen. Protecting our forests, lakes, rivers, wildlife, and showing compassion for all living beings is not just a constitutional duty but a reflection of our shared humanity and the legacy we leave for future generations.

I am deeply concerned about the deteriorating Air Quality Index (#AQI) across our cities. Every passing season reminds us that environmental stewardship is no longer a choice—it is an urgent responsibility. The haze that clouds our skylines is not just a statistic; it is a direct threat to our health, our productivity, and the well-being of future generations. The fight against rising pollution levels requires collaboration. We have always believed that sustainable progress and industrial growth must go hand in hand. In the infrastructure sector, renting equipment is a workable solution as according to the studies, renting reduces carbon emissions by nearly 30 percent. Renting places us in a unique position to influence change, reduce emissions across operations, and encourage environmentally responsible practices in the sector. But corporate action alone is not enough. True and lasting change comes when every individual becomes part of the solution. As an individual, we must plant one tree and nurture it. Every tree planted is more than an environmental contribution; it is a symbol of unity, hope, and shared responsibility. When we plant a tree with a friend, colleague, or community, we plant the idea that our environment is a common bond—one that connects us across backgrounds and generations.

Recently, I had the privilege of visiting Shri Badrinath Dham along with my family — a deeply spiritual and fulfilling experience. Amidst the serene surroundings and divine atmosphere, one thing that truly stood out was the dedication and empathy of the local police administration. I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Navneet Bhandari, Station Officer at Badrinath Police Station, who was personally ensuring that every pilgrim had a smooth and safe experience during the darshan of Badri Vishal. Despite the tough weather and challenging terrain, he and his team were working tirelessly to assist devotees with warmth and compassion. I deeply appreciated his efforts and was touched by his humility and sense of duty. He even presented us with a beautiful memento of Shri Badrinath — a gesture I will always cherish. I also offered my support to the brave police personnel who continue to serve selflessly in such demanding conditions. Truly, good administration is one that connects with people, empathizes with them, and helps them. The police team at #Badrinath truly exemplifies this spirit. @uttarakhandcops @pushkardhami @BKTC_UK

What an inspiring moment for our nation — Indian women continue to make us proud! This time, they’ve scripted history by becoming Cricket World Cup Champions. Women today are breaking barriers, redefining success, and claiming their rightful place in every sphere — from sports and science to business and leadership. All they need are open doors and equal opportunities. At AGGCON, we strongly believe in diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all. We’re proud to have women in leadership roles, driving change and playing a crucial part in shaping the future of the infrastructure equipment rental industry. A special note of appreciation again to Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi for the Women’s Reservation Bill, a significant step toward empowering women leaders in Parliament and state legislatures When women rise, the nation rises!

There was a time when the infrastructure equipment rental sector worked quietly behind the scenes — an unsung hero of the infrastructure world. Our role in enabling large-scale projects was vital, yet rarely recognized. Today, that narrative is changing — and it’s changing for the better. We’ve seen firsthand how equipment rental companies are now driving efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability across the infrastructure sector. By ensuring that critical machinery and equipment are available where and when they’re needed most, rental partners help reduce idle assets, cut emissions, and promote more sustainable development through shared access and smarter utilization. The recognition our sector is receiving today is a testament to how far we’ve come. More and more construction companies are realizing that rental partners are not just suppliers and service providers — we are strategic collaborators in building a more efficient, sustainable, and resilient infrastructure ecosystem. We believe in the oneness of the infrastructure ecosystem, where all stakeholders work together for the development of the country. A heartfelt thank you to all our customers for your trust, recognition, and continued collaboration!

Every day brings a new reason to plant a tree. Recently, while reading about the impacts of air pollution, I came across a deeply concerning link: air pollution significantly increases the risk of dementia. A growing body of research shows that pollutants, especially from vehicle emissions, may act as catalysts in triggering brain atrophy and diseases like Lewy body dementia — the second most common form after Alzheimer’s. This isn't just science; it’s a wake-up call. Our cities are grappling with deteriorating air quality and rising pollution levels. We're exposed to invisible threats every day, and we must act — not tomorrow, today. Trees are one of our simplest, most powerful allies in this fight. They act as natural air filters — absorbing harmful gases and trapping fine particulate matter. Planting a tree is not just an act of kindness to nature; it's an act of protection for ourselves and future generations. That’s why I believe in PM Narendra Modi’s @narendramodi visionary mantra – LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment). Small, mindful actions can collectively drive massive change. It is the reason, we selected #treeplantation under the Tree of Friendship, as the main activity during the Sewa Pakhwada, commemorating PM Modi’s 75th birthday, we planted 1,200 trees — a symbol of our commitment and a step towards cleaner air and healthier lives. The support we received was overwhelming, showing that when communities unite for a cause, real impact happens. Let’s choose life. Let’s choose LiFE. Let’s plant more trees.

On the occasion of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s birthday, AGGCON has contributed a motorcycle to the Kaziranga National Park team, ahead of World Rhino Day (22nd September 2025). This initiative is aimed at strengthening patrolling and on-ground monitoring, reinforcing efforts to protect the iconic one-horned rhinoceros and support India’s larger conservation mission. The vehicle was formally received by Dr. Sonali Ghosh, IFS, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Director, Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve. Earlier in March, on World Wildlife Day, Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi had highlighted India’s conservation success, stating: “Over the last decade, the population of tigers, leopards, rhinos have risen too, indicating how deeply we cherish wildlife and are working to build sustainable habitats for animals.” Commending the visionary leadership of Dr. Sonali Ghosh, IFS, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Director, Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve, Mr. Jitender Aggarwal, Chairman & Managing Director, AGGCON, said: “It is truly inspiring to witness how the park has evolved from a critical state into a thriving sanctuary for the iconic one-horned rhinoceros. Your pioneering role as the first woman Director of Kaziranga is a landmark achievement, especially considering the unique challenges of wildlife conservation in the region.” He further added: “I remain genuinely grateful for the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of you and your entire team in safeguarding India's rich biodiversity.” Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Assam, is home to two-thirds of the world’s Indian rhinoceroses and stands as a global symbol of India’s commitment to wildlife preservation. @narendramodi @himantabiswa @kaziranga_ #WorldRhinoDay #Kaziranga #WildlifeConservation #OneHornedRhino #Biodiversity #PMModi #Assam #Sustainability #WWF #UnitedNations #WildLife #Forests #Assam #NorthEast

Let’s celebrate the true heroes of our industry – the operators. Their skill, perseverance, and quiet determination often go unnoticed, but they are the backbone of every engineering feat we achieve. I was recently inspired reading about a remarkable accomplishment by two TBM operators who completed India’s longest rail tunnel ahead of schedule. Mr. Baljinder Singh and Mr. Ram Avtar Singh Rana, both senior operators with L&T Construction successfully steered the tunnel boring machine through 14.57 km of treacherous Himalayan terrain, between Devprayag and Janasu in Uttarakhand. This tunnel is a critical part of the ambitious 125-km Rishikesh-Karnaprayag Rail Link Project, which is being constructed by L&T Construction. The terrain was hostile, the challenges formidable – yet these professionals overcame them with experience, focus, and sheer grit. I salute these operators. Your professionalism is an inspiration to us all.
