We did a book swap at school today, rather than dressing up. Kids brought in old/used books to swap and collected other children's donations... The kids excitement of getting a new book (for free) did far more for fostering a love of books than any costume would have done.

@BiancaH80 Yep. Added to the marking exhaustion- I have to do the drive to and from Sydney for briefing sessions. I'm tired thinking about it

I’m spending tonight cleaning the house because I start HSC marking next week. I need the headspace of a clean house to cope with the physical and mental exhaustion that comes from marking. I think people forget the humans behind the final HSC marks sometimes. Are you marking?
