The entire 3rd grade class, including Ms. Chang posed for a selfie after their visit with Circuit Judge Jorge L. Ortiz of the @19thCircuitIL on February 10, 2026. Judge Ortiz visited North Elementary School in Waukegan and read “Sonia Sotomayor” in Spanish to the students.

On February 4, Judge Cornell of the @19thCircuitIL read “Abe Lincoln’s Hat” to two second grade classes at St. Gilbert’s Catholic School. Judge Cornell also donated bookmarks featuring Facility Dog Desi, and coloring and activity books courtesy of the 19th Judicial Circuit.
