I am seeing these predicted line-ups for the Barcelona game from the likes of 'Newcastle World' today and I am genuinely praying they are wrong, as there is no way in hell Nick Pope should be starting another game for us this season. ​We all appreciate what he has done for us in the past, but let’s be real—his form has not just dipped; it has fallen off a massive cliff. Between the fumbled parries like the one against Everton and those repeated 'statue' moments where he does not even move, or when he goes walkabout like the one against Marseille, he is becoming a liability we cannot afford. ​Every back-pass feels like a ticking time bomb lately. The defenders look terrified to play it to him, and it is killing our buildup play. He has handed goals to the opposition on a silver platter in crucial games like Marseille and West Ham, and it’s costing us games and points we desperately need for Europe. ​Eddie Howe is known for his loyalty, but loyalty should not come at the expense of the team's success. Four and a half years into the takeover we’ve got a keeper starting who’s on loan from a 2nd division club a 35 year old right back and are still trotting out Burn at left back, PSR has done wonders for the Cartel.

@lakesOllie @ToonPolls I wonder how many fans, who used to go whenever I felt like it, don’t even bother with a membership nowadays because the ballot feels impossible I got 2 ballot “wins” in 2023/24 having been to 11x home games (and 11x away) in 22/23.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think the “matchday experience” that the club speaks of is aimed at you or I, or other regular match going #NUFC fans. It’s to attract the sort of casual tourists that will pay through the nose for an “experience”. Also, I don’t think the club genuinely care about increasing the ST price. In fact, they’d probably be happy to have as few ST holders as possible so they can sell your seat to those mentioned above at 4 times the price. I think that’s the reality unfortunately.

@ToonPolls This is what doesn’t make sense when they talk about building a 65k stadium. Build a bigger one. The demand is there ffs! Locking out swathes fans by keeping ticket availability low and prices high is moronic. Just get more people in the stadium, keep more interested in the club
