#WhatAreTheyHiding From the news, we found out that Imran Khan was taken to PIMS again in the middle of the night, supposedly for his second injection in the eye. When the law requires that family be informed before any medical procedure is conducted on a prisoner, why was the family not informed? We do not trust the diagnosis or test reports from Government medical facilities. There are already reports coming from PIMS that the doctors are being threatened with serious consequences if any information is leaked about Imran Khan. What are they Hiding? Our family rejects their reports even if they issue these doctored reports to the public. We stand by our demand that Imran Khan be examined and treated in Shifa International (Islamabad) by specialists, under the supervision of Imran Khan’s personal doctors and in the presence of his family. PIMS (Govt Hospital) is not equipped to treat anyone for the alleged condition that has developed in Imran Khan’s eye. It is criminal what this Government is doing, and they will be held accountable for each and every violation and crime they are committing against Imran Khan. #ShiftKhanToShifaInternational

The Chief Justice of Pakistan had directed that Imran Khan be allowed to speak with his sons. We can confirm that he was able to speak with them for approximately 20 minutes. His sons shared that he was extremely happy to hear their voices after such a long time. We are now awaiting his urgent medical treatment at Shifa International Hospital Islamabad under the supervision of his personal doctors, where specialist doctors must make every possible effort to restore his eyesight. The intentional delay in providing him timely treatment has already caused damage to his eyesight. We cannot and will not tolerate any further delay, and immediate specialist care is essential to prevent any permanent loss of vision.

A detailed report by the “Amicus Curiae” appointed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan on the health and prison conditions of arbitrarily detained former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan reveals disturbing details of serious human rights violations, inhumane treatment, psychological torture, and deliberate medical neglect, which has resulted in 85% vision loss in his right eye. Here are some highlights from the report:

We have been informed that my father, Imran Khan, has lost most of the vision in his right eye, with reports indicating only 15% eyesight remains. This is the direct consequence of 922 days of solitary confinement, medical neglect (denied blood tests) and the deliberate denial of proper treatment in jail. The responsibility lies squarely with the regime in power, the Army Chief and the puppets enabling this cruelty. This physical deterioration is happening under their orders, their watch and their responsibility. They have manipulated and warped the justice system in order to keep my father in solitary confinement. My brother and I are still being denied visas to see our father as his health deteriorates. History will record this injustice. We urge human rights bodies, legal institutions and democratic nations to confront this persecution and ensure those responsible face consequences.
