@1MerkleTree Igbo in Yoruba means forest. Igboefon means forest buffalo, Ijebu-Igbo means Ijebu of the forest, Igbo Oloyin means Bee forest, etc. it has nothing to do with the primitive and cannibalistic tribes across the Niger known as Ibo. The people of SouthEast are not Igbo but Ibos.

This is not a technology story for Lagos and Abuja. It is a policy one. When a Nigerian defence-tech company chooses Accra for its biggest plant, the question is what Ghana offered that Nigeria did not.

Nwachuku cited Ghana's safety, currency stability, manufacturing base, and what he called stronger political will on industrial development and sovereign defence. Every one of those is a comparative statement. Read it again.

Terra's existing factory is in Abuja. 15,000 square feet. The new Ghana facility is more than double that size. The flagship is Nigerian. The biggest plant is not.

The facility will produce Archer VTOLs, Iroko UAVs, and the Kama interceptor drone. Terra says its systems are already in trials with militaries across West Africa.

In an interview with Tectonic, they announced Pax-2: a 34,000 square foot drone factory in Accra, opening June. At full capacity, it will produce 50,000 autonomous systems a year.

Nathan Nwachuku and Maxwell Maduka founded Terra Industries in 2024. They are both in their early twenties. They have already raised $34 million from American venture capital.
