Sharing a bit of my latest experience with GPT-5.6 and Codex!
I've switched from the Claude Max plan, something I've wanted to do for a long time now! I felt like I was paying a lot of money for very little usage and an inconsistent sub, so with the release of the GPT-5.6 family, I totally had to give it a try!
For me, GPT-5.6 Sol and even Terra can do most of the stuff I was doing with Fable 5, for a way more accessible price and a GREAT speed! Something that I haven't struggled with anymore since the switch was having to wait 6-10 minutes for simple tasks that Sol is able to complete in a minute or two.
Another reason I hadn't switched earlier was also having my whole workflow set up to use Claude Code CLI, and I didn't really like apps at all since I was used to working in a terminal inside an IDE (so switching to the Codex app wasn't my best bet), but it was really easy! I can say I now love using the Codex app due to its simplicity and the hundreds of features it provides, plus the switch was easy (I just told GPT to catch every memory Claude had from the project, and it did heheh).
Truly recommend the switch :)

@ZayuhGamesRBX @juztripper UI is the only thing Claude is better at IMO. It’s very nice to have cleaner placeholder UI but the other benefits of codex outweigh it by a landslide for me

@juztripper Amazing! One thing ive noticed though, is that when comparing Claude and Codex for generating UI for a plugin in Studio, Claude’s is much cleaner plugin interface probably because it’s better at frontend web dev
