@Tgarratt10 It wasnt a penalty and var didnt overrule it, they told the reff to go look at it, which is the whole point if var. The ref looked at in on the screen and realized he made the wrong call and corrected it. That is how var should work

I no longer understand VAR. Genuinely. Yes it’s probs a soft penalty but it’s not a clear and obvious error. What has happened to our beautiful game 😔

@cameron30710393 @H23football U must be joking, liverpool had zero shots on target first leg and psg wasted a million chances. Game should have been 6 or 7-0. And u have the audacity to say keeper saved them ? Lol

@H23football Ngl their keeper saved them in both Chelsea and Liverpool games whereas our keepers couldn’t do the same. Either psg are superior at finishing or prem keepers are overrated

Yeah we're not doing this. We're not re-writing what we all just saw. We battered them. They had 3/4 transitions of which they converted 2 — 1 being a freak finish from outside the box, with the weak foot. People will glaze PSG etc. But for a side whose had a whole week off

Be honest with me please. What would be more satisfying for you as a hatewatchers. Seeing Spurs get relegated or seeing Arsenal bottle all four competitions and go trophyless again?

@kemosabe73 @EiFSoccer If a second yellow was given that would mean sunderland would have been robbed. The first yellow was a clear error and not a yellow. If all correct calls were given, brobby would have ended the match with 1 yellow card. He did indeed end the match with one yellow.

@MUFC__Prince Its necessary for now, to play with storming wb and a pressing front line, u must have midfielders capable of covering ground quickly. We have zero midfielders who can do so. If we can fix that in the market. Then we can play differently next season

Yes, I agree - we are more compact now, and we concede fewer chances. But that’s largely because we’ve stopped pressing aggressively. We sit deeper, stay narrow when out of possession, and look to break on the counter. The fullbacks rarely overlap, so the structure is more conservative overall. It’s effective in the short term. But the real question is whether this approach can control games consistently or if it just helps us survive them.
UtdDistrict@UtdDistrict

🚨🎙️ | Bruno Fernandes speaks on Michael Carrick's impact: “Obviously, we changed some things, we changed some players and their positions, we tried a different formation, and at the end of the day, we started scoring goals. “We started to be more COMPACT when we defend. We understood that we would have to SUFFER because we were not in an excellent moment. “City was the game we played the best, Arsenal, we didn’t have a great game, but we made the most of it.” [@MenInBlazers/@FrankEra_]

This angle & at full speed you can see how awful this is from Brian Brobbey - he should've been sent off with a second yellow here, this was extremely dangerous & so reckless. Deserves to be suspended for it, not one game either. x.com/Media9PL/statu…
Adam@AdamJoseph

Brian Brobbey just got a yellow card because he got sick of Pedro Porro fouling him & pushed him away. Robert Jones having an absolute stinker so far. Should've been a foul on Porro long beforehand. x.com/Media9PL/statu…

@AFC_Monty_ Late goals and smash and grab aren't the same thing. Smash and grab is when youve been second best all game, getting battered and nic a goal somehow and win. None of these matches were that. The opposite actually

🚨 If Tottenham Hotspur get relegated, here’s what it would actually happen to the team: First, nothing happens instantly to contracts. Every player remains tied to the club. Relegation doesn’t cancel deals, they are still legally Spurs players. However, the big change comes from money and ambition. Spurs would lose a huge amount of revenue, especially from Premier League TV rights. Because of that, the club would need to reduce spending quickly. This is where player exits begin. Top players would almost certainly leave. Not because they are forced to, but because: • They want to keep playing at the highest level • Other big clubs would come in for them • Spurs would be open to selling to balance finances Some players may also have relegation clauses in their contracts. These clauses can: • Allow them to leave for a lower transfer fee • Reduce their wages automatically So even those who stay might earn less. The squad would then start to change a lot. Spurs would rely more on: • Younger players • Squad players who stay • Loan signings And this is where it gets even tougher, coming back up is not guaranteed. Because many of their best players would leave, the overall quality of the squad drops. Even though Spurs are a big club, the Championship is very competitive and physical, and without top talent, promotion becomes much harder. In short — relegation doesn’t “remove” players, but it triggers a chain reaction: ➡️ Stars leave ➡️ Wages drop ➡️ Squad gets rebuilt ➡️ Promotion becomes more difficult That’s why relegation is such a big risk, even for top clubs.

@Dmillzzzzz @rsnball Every top journalist, fabs etc are saying expect a big summer. 2mids, lw, lb and more. Common sense tells us that there's a limit to how many player we buy and that they won't all cost massive money. Maguire was renewed so that we can focus more funds on priority positions.

@elijah_manuwa I get what youre saying but these are poor examples. Bernardo silva has been past it for at least 2 seasons now and city have fought to keep him, he has chosen to leave now that his contract is up.

See how city move on from players and U wonder Y thy’re so sucessful. He won their 1st CL and four PL title in a row and when D time comes thy move on. We still have D likes of Maguire, Shaw, Dalot and some fans still want Casemiro to stay, and U wonder Y we’re not sucessful🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

🚨💣 BREAKING: Bernardo Silva will LEAVE Manchester City in June as a free agent, as revealed last week. It’s now official as Bernardo informed the club, as #MCFC assistant coach Pep Lijnders confirms. Bernardo hopes to pick his new club before the World Cup.

@elijah_manuwa @Wtf_sancho Ineos havent requested casemiro to stay, the fans did. Ineos want his wages gone. Maguire is being kept so that we wont have to divert funds to a new cb this summer. Luke shaw is not out of contract yet so they cant get rid of him just yet unless a buyer comes knocking

@Wtf_sancho If that’s true thy would not want Casemiro to sign another one year contract and thy’ll not sign another contract with Maguire and players like Shaw would have been gone, instead I watch a video where D man himself was praying Shaw doesn’t get himself injured again and I laughed.

Pep Guardiola was asked, has Salah lost his sparkle? 🗣️ Pep Guardiola: “That's not true. Salah is the best right winger in the history of the Premier League, by the numbers. And in yesterday's press conference, my entire talk was about how to stop Salah—he's the beating heart of Liverpool. Every player in the world goes through a dip in form. You're talking about a player at his lowest level this year, and despite that, he's among his team's top scorers. Salah has been at the top for 10 consecutive years, and these are the qualities of the greats. Only 3 players have done it: Messi, Ronaldo, and Mohamed Salah. The fans are emotional—they forget 10 years of nonstop giving and remember just one unlucky year. That's our problem here.”
