So fed up. Sick of living life on what feels like a hamster wheel. Going round in circles. Good periods followed by heaps of shite from my own doing. - struggling massively with drugs currently. don’t know where to turn anymore. Ruining so many good things in my life. I’m done 😔

@thealertsgroup I have a roof over my head with a loving family and friends who I’ve let down time and time again. Just looking to figure things out again and see how best to move forward really… hence me posting on here again. Thanks for the response :)

4 months of gambling drug abuse on my body and mind has finally taken its toll, I’m absolutely shot to pieces and my mind has been a scary place to be in of late. I just want to make my family and partner proud again 😔🥺 I must recover and get help as I can’t do it alone. 😢

Haven’t been on in months. And those months feel a complete whirlwind right now. The pain is horrible, I’m not sure how much more I can take, I’m writing on here as a reach out, my mum and partner have heard it all before… maybe just maybe some kind people on here can help. 💔

Day 96 - still gamble free and slowly approaching 100 days. Feeling fucking horrific today from a heavy weekend on the booze and watching the mighty mariners Grimsby town in the play off semi final vs Wrexham. Incredible game of football. Bath,bottle & bed pending tonight 🤣

Day 75 - still strong on gambling front. Been a tough weekend, lost a cup final at footie and it’s really got me down. Worst Sunday/Monday feelings I’ve had in a long time and yesterday I did have little thoughts of bets to escape that nasty feeling that defeat gave. 1DAAT 😌😌

Monday 😴 - day 61 gamble free Been tough last 5 days,not so much an urge to bet but it was pay day Friday. When money was slightly tight the thoughts of how to potentially increase my funds was there. The ‘greed’ we have within from gambling. Kept busy and ignored the voice 👊🏻

Evening, been a while since my last tweet but just been keeping busy with work and football + spending time with family and the girlfriend 😅 Pleased to report today is day 50 gamble free! In a really good place with things currently. Have a good Easter guys ✌🏻 #RecoveryPosse

Just to add to this. The feelings faced with Cheltenham aren’t nice but I know it’s just another week in reality, it doesn’t matter if it’s Southwell on a random Tuesday or the first race at Cheltenham today. Going to be a long and challenging 4 days but determined as ever 👊🏻

Morning guys. Day 5 today gable free, I’ve got back on the recovery train. Looked at what and where I went wrong with my latest relapse and I’m ready to rumble again. Had a good weekend being productive rather than sat in my room gambling from crack of dawn to eyes down at night.

Anyone got any advice or support pages to help with explain gambling addiction to a loved one. I feel this is a big part of recovery and something I struggle with, people close to me understanding the best they can, just exactly what I’m going through! Any advice welcome… 👍🏻
