@Deport40Milly@OnlyInBOS No it doesn't. Unless you never plan to leave Boston but since we're talking about flying, you do lol. So yes, it essentially renders Pre-Check, which I also have, a moot point at Logan, but you will still use Pre-Check in whatever airport you're returning to Boston from.
@1pic1date@OnlyInBOS TSA is already missing shit left and right. This just provides someone more of an opportunity to act up if they want to ruin travel for everyone else. Also, I pay for pre-check and this takes that away from me.
Logan Airport is trying something the United States hasn’t seen before.
Starting June 1, travelers can go through TSA in Framingham and be dropped off at Logan already beyond security.
$9 each way.
@baskao77@OnlyInBOS Idk if alot of you are missing it but you're not bypassing TSA, you are completing your TSA screening at the remote terminal. Then you board the bus, then you get driven to your terminal.
@SharonYakavonis@OnlyInBOS Idk if alot of you are missing it but you're not bypassing TSA, you are completing your TSA screening at the remote terminal. Then you board the bus, then you get driven to your terminal.
@Jamie_redsox@OnlyInBOS Idk if alot of you are missing it but you're not bypassing TSA, you are completing your TSA screening at the remote terminal. Then you board the bus, then you get driven to your terminal.
@BurtGummer414@OnlyInBOS Idk if alot of you are missing it but you're not bypassing TSA, you are completing your TSA screening at the remote terminal. Then you board the bus, then you get driven to your terminal.
Also, TSA didn't exist at the time of 9/11 bud
@RealSeabiscuit1@MrCharl86333591@OnlyInBOS Probably because they already have the existing infrastructure at the LE Framingham location. That's how I get to the airport (I'm in Worcester) and I think it's one of the more popular LE routes.
This is just the pilot location and when it proves successful they'll add more.
@MrCharl86333591@OnlyInBOS Tell us, you make it sound like you can easily think of many ways or one major way it could go wrong. So tell us, what could actually go wrong?
I can’t think of any reason this would “go wrong”, only problem I see is why they picked a city an hour away from Logan.
@Cmichaels59992@OnlyInBOS Idk if alot of you are missing it but you're not bypassing TSA, you are completing your TSA screening at the remote terminal. Then you board the bus, then you get driven to your terminal.
@Kaffe_Takk@OnlyInBOS Perfect. I'm coming from Worcester and I already take the Logan Express from Framingham anyway.
This is just the pilot location. When it proves successful there will be more.
@Deport40Milly@OnlyInBOS Idk if alot of you are missing it but you're not bypassing TSA, you are completing your TSA screening at the remote terminal. Then you board the bus, then you get driven to your terminal.
@dump74217@OnlyInBOS Idk if alot of you are missing it but you're not bypassing TSA, you are completing your TSA screening at the remote terminal. Then you board the bus, then you get driven to your terminal.
@patricksthdub@OnlyInBOS A lot of people live in other parts of the state. Not just in Boston. I already take the Logan Express from Framingham. Now I just get my screening done before I get to the airport. What was already super convenient for me just got even more convenient.
@CShredwards@OnlyInBOS Idk if alot of you are missing it but you're not bypassing TSA, you are completing your TSA screening at the remote terminal. Then you board the bus, then you get driven to your terminal.
@EricMulhollan12@DavidShapiro98@OnlyInBOS True but if parking is your issue then this doesn't change anything for you. Before this you could have always driven to a Logan Express and taken the shuttle for $9 each way. What this does change is now you get screened before the airport saving you TSA AT the airport
@dump74217@OnlyInBOS Well for one, you do know that TSA didn't exist at the time of 9/11 correct? As far as this idk if alot of you are missing it but you're not bypassing TSA, you are completing your TSA screening at the remote terminal. Then you board the bus, then you get driven to your terminal.
@Lightning777JMJ@OnlyInBOS Idk if alot of you are missing it but you're not bypassing TSA, you are completing your TSA screening at the remote terminal. Then you board the bus, then you get driven to your terminal.
@EricMulhollan12@BurtGummer414@OnlyInBOS Lmao. Get on a “secured BUS” to a “secured location” would that be like the “secured plane” at the “secured location” on 9/11??
Asking for a friend….
@humphrey38@OnlyInBOS Idk if alot of you are missing it but you're not bypassing TSA, you are completing your TSA screening at the remote terminal. Then you board the bus, then you get driven to your terminal.
