Here is my #COP27 assessment. First thing first, COP27 has done what no other COP has achieved & created a loss & damage fund to support the impacted communities of climate change. Vulnerable countries have been calling for since the 1992 Rio Earth Summit
Would be interested to hear @island_scholar ‘s take on the fund
The struggle to fully stand-up and resource this fund starts now. The lack of collective ambition to keep global temp. increase below 1.5C is retrograde & will certainly reinforce the need for adequate resourcing. #COP27; @AOSISChair ; @LDCChairUNFCCC ; @OpenSociety
