I’m 26 and I still think the world is moving too fast for me. I just can’t keep up. AI, fintech, new social media platforms — it’s like right when you finally stand straight, someone pulls the carpet from under your feet. A part of me revolts at this pace of change. A part of me exploits it for money and influence. But then there’s a part of me that pines for a more self-directed life. A life without FOMO. A life where the metrics for success are so clear that there is no reason to open Instagram. But then I’m afraid I’ll lose my edge. That if I sit in my garden chair to read a classic, some kid in a Hyderabad basement will make an AI tool that makes reading useless. It’s a strange kind of powerlessness. Or maybe it’s the beginning of peace. I don’t know yet.

Two days back, my uncle was murdered brutally in broad daylight in Pune. Reason for the murder was that he asked a gang of men to not do drugs near his house. While nothing is going to bring back my uncle and stop the suffering of my family, all we can do is wait for justice.
