@OBBY001 He was only suppose to coach for a couple of years, whilst they groomed Tamati Ellison to step up as HC. Plans changed when Tamati got called up into ABs coaching setup. They probably didnt expect Hanson to become available.

@ricsalizzo Jack Mesley last year said they will change the finals ruling where Chiefs hosted semi final despite losing the quarter. He said it didnt pass the 'pub test'. They need to apply the 'pub test' for the comp structure for next year.

The challenge for NZ Rugby around changing competitions is having the courage to come up with the best option. They will get lobbied by stake holders, franchises, provincial unions, players association etc who will all have a self interest position .

@AndyGoode10 @RugbyPass "is it ok if a player has served that five-year residency period in their teens rather than in their twenties?" - yes it is okay in the former case as where you grew up and had developed formative years imprints. The residency should be far longer for those who move as adults.

If one was to take a breath for a minute to look at the state of rugby across the world today you would find that, Super Rugby is failing. Australia rugby is more threatened by Rugby League than ever. The Wales Rugby Union is as popular as Keir Starmer. Canadian Rugby Union has resorted to going on Dragons Den to beg for money. Fiji Rugby' had to play Nations Championship home games in UK to make money. English community clubs hit financial wall more times a week than Tiger Woods hitting power poles in his SUV. Back to back World Cup Champions lose millions of rand in their latest Annual Report. Melbourne Rebels are in a lawsuit with Rugby Australia. Georgia Rugby' shows that doping in the sport could be at epidemic levels but everyone's to scared to test more. Mums and Dad's can't afford hundreds of dollars for tickets to watch the AB's v ZA in Baltimore this year. NZ Rugby lost $7.5M last year. And the list goes on. We need some serious collective conversations, structural changes and accountability in our game or the s..t show we have today will just get worse. #rugby

What about...... Super 10 '2027.'... nine games side then straight semis and final for Top 4.... followed by NPC kicking off concurrently with The Rugby Championship. That would be a 20-22 game season for all Super/ABs or Super/NPC players.
