They don't know how to write strong women, so they write them as "tougher than any man" while completely ignoring the unique ways women are strong. Look at Ripley's struggle and final battle an Aliens. She wasn't strong because she was "I don't need no man strong" she won because her protective and nurturing strength carried them through the toughest adversity. Writing women the way Halo CE and most movies do these days is both ignorant and lazy.
