and while we’re at it the only way to make his transition to red hood impactful is for him to NOT be similar when he was robin!! it’s supposed to be jarring and ugly to see what this kid has become!! it completely takes away from the effect if he’s angry/violent all the time

also, can i just say i reaaally miss the master strategist/tactician we have seen jason be in the past, i lose a year off my life every time we see him do something just to do it without thinking it through

and this isn’t me bashing this writer or anything, it’s not even specifically about this writer cause i’m gonna follow the story regardless and later have my own thoughts but man how id love someone working on him that actually likes him for the good, bad, and ugly!!

to be like yea i know about that character and how they are but i dont want to do that, im gonna try something different! and another thing to just make stuff up cause you feel like it for a character that’s already quite established.

i’ll be the first person to tell you that jason has some absolutely not good books but as someone who got into him by starting out with lobdells n52 run and didn’t immediately run away it really is important to go through more than one or two books of a character before

@1withthecrowbar Tbh bro I’m at a point where idec imma just wait it out lol.. Every bat character has had some years of HORRENDOUS writing & modern Jason hasn’t been around v long, & he’s popular, so realistically one day a writer will come who actually likes & puts effort into him.. one day..
