I had an NHL scout call me about a player who had been in my program. First question he asked was “how did he treat his mother and father”. After the usual how did he treat me and his teammates he asked “how did he treat the rink” he grew up in!

He grew up in Calgary. As a right-catching goalie, gear is tough to find for kids who are "silly siders."
So he got hand-me-down gear from an older "silly sider" in the neighborhood, future NHLer Logan Thompson:

🚨 JUST IN: President Trump signs executive order designed to SAVE COLLEGE SPORTS from a financial arms race
- Athletes can only transfer schools one time before they graduate without having to sit out a season
- Athletes can only play up to 5 seasons in a 5 year window
- Aug. 1 effective date
- Federal funding can be STRIPPED from schools who do not comply

You thought things were crazy before? The transfer portal for men’s hockey opens in a week. Some players - if this goes through - could find out their transfers are illegal. I’m expecting swift legal action against this EO, so ramifications could ripple through courts for months.
