I haven’t been to a theater since Interstellar. I already have 4K HDR, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos at home. If I’m leaving my couch and paying a premium, it has to be something I can’t replicate. Give us real 70mm IMAX. Go bigger or stop pretending the experience is special.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has urged people to use smartphones less. "I don’t want people looking at the smartphone more than they’re looking in someone’s eyes, as if they’re scrolling endlessly. This is not how you want to spend your day. Go out and spend it in nature."

@elonmusk Isn’t OpenAI basically a massive pile of debt? Just saying. And yes, you should absolutely sue. It was founded as a nonprofit. If people wanted a for-profit AI company, they should have left and built their own.

Voter turnout in Vietnam's National Assembly elections is consistently very high, typically 99%+ per official figures and international trackers like IPU Parline. Recent examples: - 2021: 99.60% (69.2M of 69.5M registered voters) - 2016: 99.35% Historically (since the 1980s), it's ranged 98-99.9%, with local leaders often mobilizing communities, workplaces, and allowing proxy voting to hit targets. Officials call it proof of public trust; it's presented as a festival of democracy in state media.

Vietnam is a one-party socialist republic under the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV). For today's National Assembly election (500 seats): Candidates must be nominated/approved by the CPV-led Vietnam Fatherland Front via vetting conferences for "balance" (regions, ethnicity, etc.). Typically 90%+ are CPV members; the rest are non-party but VFF-affiliated "independents." No opposition parties allowed. Voters pick from pre-approved slates in multi-member districts (more candidates than seats, block voting). The Assembly largely ratifies CPV decisions. Freedom House 2025: Not Free (20/100 overall; Political Rights 4/40). Electoral process scored 0/12—elections not free/fair, no realistic pluralism. It's CPV-managed selection with limited voter choice among vetted options, not competitive multi-party democracy.
