That'll do it. It is now the end of our journey and I just want to say thank you for following along with me. I learned so much and my biggest hope is that you did also:) #Hudsonforthewin!

All of these discoveries made along the way led to the increased interest in trade with Native Americans. When trading with them we brought back corn, tobacco, and valuable fur to the Netherlands. Tobacco became a huge industry along with the distribution of furs.

You might be thinking what does it have to do with this voyage? It actually has everything to do with it! The Dutch colonization led to the Netherlands continuing to have an interest in securing North America.

I would like to just point out a few more significances before I let you go. Starting off with the discovery of the Hudson River, having no idea when we found it that it would lead to the Dutch colonization and the claiming of New Amsterdam just 15 years later...

Hudson and our discoveries along the way made him an instrumental figure in helping to draw the map of North America. His traveling led to a deeper understanding of the world and what lies in it. This journey also helped in the creation of more reliable maps for the future.

Sadly, Hudson did not achieve his goal of finding the specific passage but he did many other things, some that he would never find out he helped with.

#FINALLY we are back! I never thought the day would come, but here we are. We made it back but no luck with the Northwest Passage, however along the way many accomplishments were made and will forever be remembered...

Now as our journey is coming to a close we are making our course to England without seeing any land. The rest of October moves steadily along and by the 7th of November it is a Saturday and by the "grace of God" we arrive safely in the Range of Dartmouth in Devonshire.

We had been riding for a while now, and just as we felt we were never gonna get anywhere, we came to the mouth of the Great River. Running up the North end we are in search of deeper water. By noon we were clear of the Inlet! Taking our boat, we leave the coast of Virginia.

As the journey is coming to an end, from what I can tell you at least, there are a couple more adventures to go through. Starting on October 4th...

We killed at least 5 more of them, and soon the rest were on their way. A while later we arrived at another bay, clear from danger, and on the other side of the river, we saw a good stretch of land. Mannahata river is where we were located, saw no trouble so we kept going.

About 100 of them come to the break of the land and shoot at us, I shot a falcon at them and killed 2 of them! Ha, the rest of them fled into the woods, I wish you could've seen the way they ran. However, a canoe with 10 more men came cruising up to us showing no signs of defeat.

Another day of brutal fighting is upon us. Two canoes full of Sausages, with their bows and arrows, shoot after our Sterne. Psh their weapons are no match for ours! We pick 6 muskets and kill 3 of their men, this settled nothing, in fact, it made it worse.

One of our men took a sword and cut off his hand causing him to drown. How gross! Anyways, by this time it was dark out so we decided to anchor for the night. #wiped

#violence, after he stole, he was shot at and killed. All the rest fled away, some went back to their canoes and others lept into the water. We were ready to go when we felt a tug on the boat... we looked down and one of them was trying to overthrow our boat!

It is the morning of October 1st when the people of the mountains come aboard our ship. We buy skins off of them in trade for trifles. Hudson got stolen from today, one man came into his room stealing his pillow, two shirts, and two bandoleers, how deceiving those men can be!

September 30th, you could build a town on these fine lands! Mountains seem to be filled with minerals #blooming with luscious trees. Here we trade more skins with fellow Indians, how nice they were:)

... Bringing another man with him, he gave us more ropes of beads and we dined with them! Our master of the ship gave the old man a knife, and they gave us more tobacco. Just what we needed! #score

On the morning of the next day, our carpenter went on land with one of 5 of our crewmates to cut wood. Two canoes came up the river from the place where we had found loving people, one being the man that had come aboard us before...
