@seattletimes These “protesters” obstruct law enforcement. And they organize themselves to do it. They are anti-law.

Elon could literally solve homelessness tomorrow. All he needs to do is sell his stake in the companies he created from the ground up, crashing the price and evaporating his wealth as well as the savings and pensions of workers globally.. handing the control of these companies over to short term profit interests and preventing any long term vision from being enacted.. THEN take whatever money that remains which will be nowhere near 1tn and give it to homeless charities who have never solved homelessness anywhere on earth because they’re financially incentivised to do the opposite. Bam - homelessness solved. The reason he doesn’t do any of this is because he’s evil.

@PramilaJayapal Your climate cultism does not align with facts. But that’s how cultists go. They care more about ideology than reality.

Climate change is not an abstract future threat. It is happening right now, in our communities, to real people. Wildfires that destroy entire neighborhoods. Floods that wipe out homes families spent lifetimes building. And while all of that is happening, this administration is claiming that greenhouse gases aren’t a threat and is gutting the EPA, because the fossil fuel industry paid for exactly that. We are not going to accept a future where our children inherit a planet that has been sacrificed for someone else's quarterly profits. We fight for a livable world. We fight like it is urgent. Because it is. 💜

im genuinely intolerant of religion like in a way that even progressives probably think is problematic. you have this made up idea of existence from a story book and you reject the reality of the world around you to the point of hate and violence. while looking stupid as fuck

Several Giants players wrote Bible verses on their caps to respond to Pride Night. The gesture echoed a familiar pattern: making a night meant for inclusion about something else entirely. Read more for free, from @GrantBrisbee: nyti.ms/3Q23q8J

@GavinNewsom I’m guessing you don’t see the total hypocrisy in your criticism. The whole elected government was intended to serve the American people. And yet so many of the elected elite, foremost including you, use it to their own agrandisement. All of it is shameful. No humility, anywhere.

The White House was built to serve the American people. Tonight it was used to promote a company the President owns stock in, sell subscriptions, promote corporate sponsors, push Trump crypto, and enrich the President and his family. The founders warned us about kings enriching themselves from public office. They did not fight a revolution for this.

@GeeScottSr Or more likely, they’re just not willing to make the compromises to buy what they can afford. There’s a lot of affordable real estate out there. Maybe just not in the places people insist on living.

Renting forever isn’t a lifestyle choice. It’s what’s left when somebody saws off the bottom rung of a ladder. A lot of folks aren't afraid of the house commitment, they're just priced out of it.

Democracies don't fall because of outside invaders. They fall because leaders dismantle them from the inside. They attack the press. They intimidate judges. They use the power of government to punish political opponents. Sound familiar? We have to fight this with everything we have.

@seattletimes It’s the only answer they have: tax the people more. Rarely, if ever, mention of trimming, optimizing services based on existing revenues. Businesses have to do that, why can’t government?

@RepKimSchrier 2021-2024, you and the rest of the elected class spouted misinformation about Covid. Which has lead to the current distrust of the “medical experts”. Try humility for a change.

Every day, we see the dangerous effects of the RFK Jr spillover effect: His vaccine conspiracy theories have caused parents to mistrust their doctors, leading to brain and gut bleeds in infants when families refuse a vitamin K shot. This is heartbreaking and entirely preventable. RFK Jr.'s baseless claims about standard care for newborns have deadly consequences. Parents: Trust your doctor, not RFK Jr., about what’s best for you and your family. propublica.org/article/vitami…

Billionaires just crossed $20 TRILLION in combined wealth. Meanwhile, the number of Americans who said their finances are “somewhat worse off” or “much worse off” than a year ago was the largest in years. The economy is working exactly as the powerful designed it to work — for them, not for us. cnn.com/2026/06/08/eco…

@seattletimes I’ve always wondered, why are the fire department buildings so elaborate and fancy? I saw one near northgate, it was demolished just a few years after it was built. “Advanced” design resulted in mold? Just build basic, move on to fighting fires.
