Reminding people Labour and Plaid forced 20mph on us and refused to listen to our objections. Time to remember at the Senedd elections.

Ymhob rhan o Gymru, rydych yn dweud wrtha i mor siomedig yda chi o’r blaid Lafur.
Nid yw @Plaid_Cymru yma i'w trwsio nhw. Rydan ni yma i'w disodli.
Am egni newydd, arweinyddiaeth newydd feiddgar, ac i atal Reform, pleidleisiwch dros Blaid Cymru ar 7 Mai 🏴

@2wheelsgoodBrum @HolywoodCyclist Sorry, I can't take you seriously. You're either a bit of just yanking my chain now 😂
English

@20snotplenty @HolywoodCyclist What’s an aero bike? What’s a world tour team?
How does this information help me cycle to the shops?
You seem to be talking about sport, not cycling.
English

How to tell the world you are a terrible driver without actually saying it…

20mph speed is an obstacle to sensible driving Keeping your eyes glued to the speedometer to ensure that you don’t exceed the limit by even 1mph is a recipe for dangerous driving, which puts pedestrians at risk. 20mph zones are desirable near schools! telegraph.co.uk/opinion/2026/0…

So, Reform wants to put women back in the kitchen and men back down the mines?!
The people of Wales have a choice of two very different futures on the 7th May...
They can choose to go backwards with Reform or choose hope and ambition with Plaid Cymru.

All across Wales, you tell me how you feel let down by Labour.
@Plaid_Cymru are not here to repair them. We are here to replace them.
For new energy, bold new leadership, and to stop Reform, vote Plaid Cymru on 7 May 🏴
English

@teenspirit78 @MyArrse Quite possibly, but they'll still take a good chunk of the vote and that's the bit I've been trying to convey but I think it's lost on you sadly. Never mind.
English

@20snotplenty @MyArrse Oh my god you are really quite a treat aren’t you.
Reform is popular amongst those who believe their faux outrage politics, which are actually a load of lies.
English

@2wheelsgoodBrum @HolywoodCyclist Understand it perfectly where I live. Proper road cyclists and kids on mountain bikes/ebikes. I'm one of only a few commuters in a rural area because it's hilly and remote. It may make sense in some places but lots it doesn't, so we don't need blanket 20mph to cater for it.
English

@20snotplenty @HolywoodCyclist Nope. You seem to misunderstand the nature of the cycling most people do. This isn’t about me cycling or you cycling. It’s about ensuring less people die or are seriously injured, that we empower more people to cycle, and make our neighbourhoods better. Safe speed limits help.
English

@teenspirit78 @MyArrse Still not getting it are you? Statements like "there's no such thing as open borders" and having a nation of sanctuary policy send the wrong message. As I said, ask yourself why Reform is so popular and you'll understand why PC only getting 3rd of votes, when they could clean up
English

@20snotplenty @MyArrse Not at all tell me how immigration is controlled by the Senedd ?
The 30mph and war on motorists rhetoric is embarrasing tbh.
English

@2wheelsgoodBrum @HolywoodCyclist I thought you were a cyclist? Aero race bike, used by world tour teams.
English

@teenspirit78 @MyArrse There you go, I've just explained how they could have won by a landslide and you bury your head in the sand about it. Ask yourself this, why have Reform become so popular? They're offering the central vote the popular options. PC lucky to win a 3rd of those that vote.
English

@20snotplenty @MyArrse Not really the 30mph isnt a vote winner and the immigration cannot be controlled by the Welsh Government, its Westminster and those who think otherwise are the blinkered ones.
English

@teenspirit78 @MyArrse The irony is, Plaid were never in a better position for a landslide. All they had to do was commit to rolling back main roads to 30mph and make a sensible statement about immigration, enough to tempt the center right vote, but the party is to blinkered to realise.
English

@HolywoodCyclist @2wheelsgoodBrum No thanks, rather smash it out on my Giant Propel 🚴🏽♂️
English

@20snotplenty @2wheelsgoodBrum Maybe you should ride the bus if you can’t follow simple instructions like speed limits. 👍
English

@20snotplenty @MyArrse Reform have uncosted pie in the sky policies which do not really clear issues up within Wales.
God Help those who vote for Reform then.
English

@2wheelsgoodBrum @HolywoodCyclist Just ride defensively, ride on quieter roads and cycle paths and remember the world doesn't revolve around you. Maybe go on your turbo if you're so afraid to go out. 👍🏼
English

@20snotplenty @HolywoodCyclist Anyone who cares about cutting the awful level of deaths and serious injuries on our roads, and the quality of life in our neighbourhoods supports 20mph limits. They demonstratively save lives and make places nicer.
The limit is 20kph where I currently live.

English

@teenspirit78 @MyArrse That's ok, it is your right. Can't all agree on everything. I'm deeply concerned about income tax rises from PC, to fund some of their policies. Maybe we could find a way for people who are happy to pay for party ideas, they could pay more?
English

@20snotplenty @MyArrse Someone who believes in Wales as an entity.
Im manifesto reading, but Reform are a complete no go.
English

@2wheelsgoodBrum @HolywoodCyclist I've re read, makes perfect sense. Rigid adherence to 20mph isn't the safety utopia you preach. Would rather people watched the road, and I can say this with experience as I ride loads but also drive.
English

@20snotplenty @HolywoodCyclist This tweet doesn’t make any sense. Literally and cognitively. Speed limits don’t apply to cycling.
If you can drive within the speed limit, why all the tweets saying it’s not possible to do so?
For those who can’t, lessons and technology can fix that.
English

@2wheelsgoodBrum @HolywoodCyclist Why? Drive perfectly safe and have 6 bikes. About as safe a driver as you'll find. I never understand this obsession with 20mph and some cyclists. All the riders I ride with don't think it's necessary. Slow you on the flat stack behind you on the up. Why would you want that?
English

@20snotplenty @HolywoodCyclist Most can, 20’sPlenty. Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) systems are now fitted to all new cars. There are lots of phone apps that will do the same thing. None require you looking at anything but the road. The excuses really aren’t convincing. Book a driving lesson as a priority.
English

@teenspirit78 @MyArrse There's not that much on offer, which is shown in the polls isn't it, no landslide leaders. Who you considering and why?
English

@2wheelsgoodBrum @HolywoodCyclist I have a new ish car, those controls don't exist below 30, they also distract you from the road. We have a stretch of road 3 miles long were the limit changes 4 times. You really recommending people fiddle with their controls that often? I'd prefer people watched the.road.
English

@20snotplenty @HolywoodCyclist The law is clear, 20’sPlenty. Proportionally, the fine for speeding at 20 is proportionally less than other forms of speeding. There is no need to look at the speedometer. Book as a session with a good driving instructor and use the speed limiter/alert fitted to most cars.
