Marco Rubio is the colonial dictator of Venezuela, this is horrific: “The U.S. Treasury receives the revenue from most of Venezuela’s exports, then disburses it gradually to Venezuela through the country’s private banks, a relationship akin to parents handing out allowances to children. Mr. Rubio and his team set the conditions on what that money can be spent on, and by whom.”

⚡️A senior Iranian official told me that the White House engaged in a deliberate media disinformation campaign, including through Axios and CBS, claiming Iran blamed a recent attack on a vessel in Hormuz on a rogue sect within the Iranian military and that Tehran was considering an announcement with Oman about opening new transit routes in the Strait. “This wasn’t random—it was a very deliberate and coordinated media campaign designed to pressure us into changing our decision,” the official said. “We had already clearly told the Qataris and Omanis about our firm and final decision: Iran will not allow anyone to disrupt our security and oversight management of the Strait of Hormuz.” 🔺The Iranian official said the U.S. is putting major pressure on Oman and added that the idea of opening an alternative lane in Hormuz outside of Iranian management “actually came from the American side.” “We clearly and firmly shared our final position with” the Omanis and mediators, the official said. “The movements we’ve seen in Hormuz over the last few hours are the practical implementation of that exact decision we announced.”

The U.S. and Israel masks are fully off now, and so are the proverbial gloves of Iran. We are entering new geopolitical paradigm for West Asia now. Permanent changes are afoot now, changes which can’t be reversed….

On Thursday, the European Parliament “adopted” the extension of Chat Control 1.0. This is the temporary suspension of the EU’s ePrivacy rules that allows tech platforms to mass-scan citizens’ private communications, ostensibly to detect child sexual abuse material. “Adopted” is placed in quotation marks here because the word implies something that conspicuously failed to happen: a majority of MEPs voting in favour. In fact, 314 MEPs voted to reject the text, against 276 in favour. And yet it passed anyway. This was made possible through a procedural sleight of hand worthy of Brussels at its most cynical. The file was rammed through under an “urgency procedure”: European Parliament President Roberta Metsola unilaterally reopened a dossier that MEPs had already rejected in March, and the Council conveniently bounced it back at the start of the summer recess, when securing attendance is hardest. Rejecting it a second time would have required not a simple majority but an absolute one: 360 votes. The law was therefore approved despite a majority of MEPs voting against it. The regulation will now remain in force until April 2028, buying time for negotiations on its even more ambitious successor, Chat Control 2.0. As German MEP @FabioDeMasi noted following the vote, Chat Control is a “legislative zombie” — a measure the European Parliament has rejected multiple times, revived again and again until the desired outcome emerges. This episode should give pause to those who insist that the EU’s democratic deficit could be cured by handing more power to the European Parliament. Here is that very institution’s president working with the Council to resurrect a file the Parliament itself had buried. If this is how the Parliament operates, empowering it further would only deepen this democratic deficit, lending a thicker veneer of legitimacy to what remains, at bottom, an executive-bureaucratic machine that treats votes as obstacles to be engineered around. The US, in the name of war against Al Qaeda, spent trillions of dollars on multiple wars, killed millions, lost thousands of soldiers, and dismantled Americans' civil liberties. due process and privacy rights. Now, one of the top Generals who oversaw that war (who stole top secret information to help his mistress write a book) proclaims himself a "fan" of a top-level Al Qaeda commando on whose head the DOJ had a $10 million bounty as recently as 2024, worrying if he's getting enough sleep and time for contemplative thought. The word "terrorism" is a massive fraud.

So here we have former CIA Director David Patraeus saying he’s a big fan of former Al Queda headchopper now Syrian President Al Jolani and he wonders if he gets enough sleep.....
