On Tuesday, the children celebrated the Women’s Euros with a fantastic Football Day. We were also sent this special shoutout from England defender @RachelDaly3, who started her career at Leeds United and still supports them while captaining Houston Dash in Texas.

Swans Graduation Ceremony: Friday 8th July We hope to make the 2022 ceremony bigger and better than ever before, with tons of fun activities, big performances and yummy food. We’ll be looking back at the time our Swans spent with us and wishing them lots of luck in Big School!

Last week in we celebrated Healthy Eating Week by taking part in many tasty activities! The children have enjoyed testing and trying different foods to broaden their taste pallets and have been enjoying exploring different textures and smells.

All this week we have invited parents and carers to the nursery to take part in our special 'Stay and Play' sessions in the garden to celebrate Father's Day. Children were treated to a range of exciting messy play and sports activities, along with some afternoon snacks! ❤️

Supporting The Leeds World Triathlon! Last week the children spent some time learning about the Triathlon and enjoyed creating banners and flags to support the participants as they passed the nursery. We even hosted our own mini bike and running races in the big garden too!

Leeds World Triathlon Championship Series - 11-12th June We are really fortunate to watch this exciting event from our doorsteps as many routes are around the nursery. We'd like to encourage the athletes by making bunting and posters to display in our windows over the weekend!

Celebrating Everything British During The Platinum Jubilee 🇬🇧 Last week, the children had a fantastic time celebrating the Queen's 70th Jubilee. There were lots of themed activities to mark the occasion, such as making and pouring cups of tea for the Queen at our outdoor picnic!

Around the World in 30 Days: Platinum Jubilee and the Royal Family We will be learning all about that as our theme! The children will also learn lots about the Royal Family and the monarchy, which will tie in with our Jubilee Celebrations too!

Celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee! 👑 We’ll be holding our own Jubilee celebrations at the nursery on Wednesday 1st June! The children are invited to wear red, blue and white clothing, and they’ll be treated to a festive garden party and a delicious royal afternoon tea.

We've recently introduced these lovely tasting pots, which allow our parents & carers to sample some of the yummy and nutritious foods that their children enjoy at the nursery. Our first pots were filled with a vegan mixed berry and coconut smoothie served with a fruit garnish!

Swans Scientots Classes 🔬 The Swans are enjoying their curricular activities and this week they were learning about the human body and how the heart pumps blood around the body. They made their own pictures using different materials to show different blood cells in the body!

Around the World in 30 Days: Languages We will be teaching the older children how to say basic words such as 'Hello, goodbye, please and thank you'. If you have a language that is relevant or spoken in your family, please let us know and we will try and incorporate this too.

Celebrating Eid at 22 Street Lane! 🌙 The children have been busy celebrating Eid this week, which included exploring various themed sensory activities! In the Duckings Room, they did lots of painting and printing with paint and foam to create star and moon shapes.

Wishing a joyous Eid to all our families celebrating this week 🌙 Eid al-Fitr is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of the Fast. We hope that all the parents and children taking part in the celebrations have a wonderful time!

Making Our Own Instruments 🎸🥁 To celebrate our theme for 'Around The World In 30 Days', the Chicklets used their fine motor skills to scoop out pasta and rice from a dish and transfer it into their cup to make their very own shakers and maracas!

Mobile Petting Farm Visits 22 Street Lane! The children were so excited to meet a whole host of animals, such as lambs, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and pygmy goats. The guests of honour were Braf the Alpaca, Jeffrey the Donkey and Bullseye the Miniature Shetland Pony!
