🇺🇸 HEGSETH FIRES ARMY CHIEF OF STAFF MID-WAR, REPLACES HIM WITH GUY WHO WAS 2-STAR TWO YEARS AGO Defense Secretary just canned Gen. Randy George as Army Chief of Staff "effective immediately" while the 82nd Airborne is literally deploying to the Middle East. No reason given. Standard stuff during an active war. George's replacement Gen. Christopher LaNeve was a 2-star general two years ago. Now he's running the Army. That's less of a promotion and more of a space elevator ride through the ranks. This is firing number 12+ for Hegseth since taking office. He also axed the Army's chief of chaplains right after announcing chaplains should focus more on God and less on mental health.
