What a privilege to lead during this milestone era at Merriwa Central School. An institution built by community, for community, that values inclusion, respect and wellbeing! Enduring Education for 175 years is no small task. Our little school celebrates this milestone with pride!

@Hammo46 & @jyecurrie came to town with their film- THE PROMISE. A raw & visually stunning dive into mental ill health, & the difference speaking up can make. What an honour to host such a poignant film in a small rural community! Thank you for coming to Merriwa and listening.

Super proud of our small but mighty HPGE Equestrian Team! Rural learning at its finest. Tapping in to highly skilled riders, and supporting them to showcase their passions!

MCS Horse Sports team competed at the local Pony Club Inter-schools challenge, taking out 2 age champions, 2 reserve champions & overall Junior Champion Rider. What a stellar performance by our HPGE Equestrian team showing their talents! @NSWEducation #Lovewhereyoulearn

Our students had a great day at the Junior Judging at the Merriwa Show! Our senior Ag girls have qualified for judging at the Royal Easter show in 2026, and we look forward to seeing how they go in their endeavours.

This week, Merriwa Central School came together to recognize Reconciliation Week & a National Sorry Day lesson on Monday. Students participated in activities aimed at deepening their understanding and taking meaningful steps toward Reconciliation. @nswaecg @NSWEducation

Congratulations to Dallas Duthie (Yr 7) on being selected as a 2025 CSIRO Youth Future Shaper. This program has a STEM focus to delevlop future leaders across Australia. Dallas is one of 25 students from Yr 5-10 across Australia to selected for this unique opportunity. @CSIRO
