If only Sen. Bato exercised his new-found concern for human rights when he was PNP Chief, he would be more credible now in his reminder to the PNP to respect the rights of KOJC members. His reign as PNP Chief was not exactly the model for police restraint and maximum tolerance. During his time, mere suspects were summarily executed even without arrest warrants. Lost in his inquiry is the fact that Quiboloy remains to be a fugitive who continues to elude arrest with the help of his followers. Brig. Gen. Torre and his team should not be distracted by the grandstanding of Bato and pro-Duterte senators. Public interest and the rule of law is their anchor. Overwhelming public opinion is behind them.

Mindanao deserves better. Take the Dutertes out of their offices in 2025! I was reading the statement of the Vice President earlier today — truth be told, she just showed the desperation of her camp. A clear desperate attempt to divert the conversation about all the controversies involving the Dutertes and the people around them. The closer authorities get, the louder she will be. So, I am expecting more nonsense from the Vice President in the coming days. Who will not panic? Vice President Sara Duterte is desperately trying to divert our attention from the bad news her family and their friends received recently: 1. The International Criminal Court tagged Senator Bato Dela Rosa and a number of Duterte allies as suspects in the investigation of Duterte’s War on Drugs. Worse? The Solicitor General said that the Philippines do not have plans to hinder ICC from questioning them. 2. Involvement of Harry Roque and wife in the investigation re: POGOs in both houses of the legislative. There’s enough probable cause to include him in the BI watchlist. 3. Involvement of Duterte’s trusted economic advisor’s , Michael Yang, involvement in the issues concerning drugs and of course he didn’t show up. Cited in contempt and with active arrest order. 4. More and more families of the EJK victims are now surfacing. 5. Exposure of VP Sara’s poor performance/ non-delivery as the DepEd Secretary 6. Plunder cases filed against Senator Bong Go and former President Duterte 7. Relationship of “fugitive” to the Dutertes like Pastor Apollo Quibuloy 8. Budget season is coming and she has to defend her ridiculous budget request with no accomplishment. Lols 9. How many more members do they have left with their party? Most jumped ship because the Duterte's ship is sinking already And these are just on the top of my head! I can go on and on and on! The Dutertes and the Vice President should really panic. And what are they best at? Unsubstantiated and non-sense attacks. I was just watching the presentation of our economic managers the other day. Most of our economic indicators are in a better position compared to its pre-pandemic state. Meaning Duterte time minus the excuse of a health emergency. Truth be told! In the decades of the Dutertes in Davao City with six years of preferential funds and investments —Davao City can do so much better! I say given its resources then and now, Davao City should vote the Dutertes out of the offices to experience what good governance actually is. Just for the record before Duterte supporter invent some random criticisms... Ilocos Norte just recorded the lowest poverty incidence in the Philippines. Do not let the Vice President divert the conversation with her non-sense!
